Hailing from a small town in Connecticut, Catherine is a multi talented musician with a diverse music career.
She has embraced the life of a single reed woodwind doubler (clarinet, flute and saxophone) and also has embraced the life of a composer/arranger in the jazz idiom and as a private applied teacher. Catherine has performance experience in many different instrumental ensembles throughout Connecticut, including Hartford Pops Band, Dick Santi Jazz Orchestra, and pit orchestra for Plainville Choral Society. She is currently working on solo instrumental repertoire projects.
Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree (magna cum laude) from the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Western Connecticut State University,
with a concentration in classical clarinet, as well as a Professional Certificate in
Jazz Composition and Arranging (summa cum laude) from Berklee College of Music.

Catherine is studying in the studio of Ken Nigro of Austin, Texas (formerly of Waterbury, Connecticut), in woodwind doubling and repertiore, jazz theory and improvisation. She has also studied with JoAnn Sternberg, while studying at WCSU, in classical clarinet and chamber repertoire.
Catherine is currently performing with GMChorale, a symphonic choir located in the Greater Middletown area of Connecticut, along with their vocal chamber ensemble, Alchemy. She also performs with the Chancel Choir at First Congregational Church of Cheshire, Connecticut, an open and affirming congregation within the United Church of Christ. At First Church Cheshire, she also acts as instrumentalist, arranger and engraver for the Music and Worship Ministries.

GMChorale, Alchemy, Chancel Choir and the Music Ministry at First Church Cheshire are under the direction of maestro Joseph D'Eugenio. He and Catherine frequently perform and collaborate together.
